As an advanced-degree candidate or postdoctoral trainee, it may seem that your academic training limits you, and is only applicable to a career in the professoriate. In the 21st century Knowledge Age, the academic skills that you have honed throughout your training will be highly transferable to a wide range of career paths. Your challenge is recognizing and translating your academic skills into concepts that are valued across employment sectors. During this workshop, you will reflect upon your academic skill sets and begin to develop a new mindset with regard to your place in the 21st century workplace.
